The    route

5km & 10km cross-country

The route begins in a field just east of campus. Now, we've spoken to the farmer and he may have some sheep in the field on the day. Don't worry we'll have plenty of vet students to move them and keep them safe.

5km runners will start 15 minites before 10km runners to give them a chance for a good head start.

You'll run through campus before heading north on the foot path adjacent to (and protected from) the railway. You'll then turn south west through the farmer's fields, these ones free of animals. The marshals will be cheering you on as you loop round, cross the foot bridge over the stream and run through the woods. With short uphill section and again through the sheep field, 5km runners will have successfully completed the run.

10km runners will pass through unhindered, maybe grabing a cup of water, before beginning the second lap. Upon finishing there will be cakes and refreshments for sale. Times and the finishing order will be posted online after the event.

The race permit is provided by the Association of Running Clubs.
